Hiroki Sato, an employee of Hitachi Ltd's Energy & Environment Research Centre in Japan, attended a 2-day Workshop on "Molecular Simulation of Carbon Capture and Storage in Novel Porous Materials" held at The University of Edinburgh in April. Hitachi Ltd is a member of the Adsorption Research Industrial Consortium. During the two days, the workshop organiser, Dr Lev Sarkisov, was able to provide Hiroki with instruction on the computer simulation of adsorption phenomena in porous materials with a particular emphasis on carbon capture.
